Today, NYC Public Schools announced that they will be adding Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr to the school calendar. Shout out to all of our students who researched the pros and cons, constructed strong arguments and presented their stances on this topic to the class! Another shout out to all the students who wrote their opinions and gave their input for the Town Hall meeting last year about whether NYC schools should or should not add the two Eids to the school calendar. We are so lucky to have students who are as passionate about making positive change as you! Check out next year's school calendar with the new changes. Many of us received new library cards and cannot wait to use them!
